Upon your arrival in San Jose, our local representative will met you for your transfer to your hotel.

The Pacuare 3-Day offers all the white-water action of the famous Pacuare rafting adventure, with two nights and an extra day at the unique, remote Rios Tropicales Lodge, overlooking the river. From our ecolodge’s remote, riverside location, you can enjoy ziplining through the canopy, self-guided walks to waterfalls and pools, relaxing in a hammock overlooking the beautiful Pacuare River, and birdwatching. Dine in the open air with wine (or beer) and exceptional meals, more stars than you can imagine, and the vibrant sounds of the jungle.

Enjoy a wonderful 4-line zip line course through the canopy, high above the nearby lodge complex. Multiple tree platforms and zip lines make this a thrilling, must-do experience.

After a delicious buffet breakfast, prepare to paddle down the Pacuare gorge for approximately 3.5 hours. The second section of the river is truly the most spectacular. At the take out you can change clothes and have lunch. Your local driver will meet you for a 4 hour transfer to Arenal.

La Fortuna (which means The Great Fortune) is home not only to one of the most exciting volcanoes in Costa Rica (Arenal), but to some of the most beautiful waterfalls, hot springs, indigenous communities and horseback riding trails in the country.

Included with your stay at Arenal Observatory is a daily free guided walk along our property trails with naturalist guide.

The walk takes you across hanging bridges, through the lush tropical gardens, and into rainforest. The guide will stop along the way to point out any wildlife and to tell you about the plants and trees of the tropical rainforest that you are seeing. Your destination is the beautiful jungle waterfall of the Danta River. The walking tour finishes by the cattle pastures, where their comfortable, open-air “Jungle Bus” will bring you back to the hotel.

The Arenal Hanging Bridges at Mistico: a professionally-trained, bilingual naturalist guide will pick you up in your hotel and drive to one of the best view points of the Arenal Volcano high a top a hill across the valley from the iconic volcano. There are trails and bridges that bring you as close as you could ever hope to get to the birds, flowers, and the lush vegetation of this primary rainforest.

The trails are designed for all ability levels and cover a total of about 2 miles. Once you are on walking along, you will be able to admire the great diversity of flora and fauna typically found in the tropical rain forest and have the opportunity to see may different bird and plant species. Walk right into the forest along several stretches of hanging bridges overlooking the tree canopy along easy, safe and beautiful trails with views of the Arenal Volcano.

This morning a shuttle transfer will take you from Arenal to the beaches of Manuel Antonio.

You know those places that look like a picture from a post card? Manuel Antonio is one of them. The epitome of Costa Rican paradise, Manuel Antonio offers arguably the most breathtaking view of our Central Pacific coast. Its beautifully lush tropical cliffs and white sand beaches have turned its National Park into one of Costa Rica’s icon.

Manuel Antonio Coastal National Park, this place is a must. Beautiful white sand beaches, great walks through the tropical forest where you’ll very likely be greeted by white faced capuchin monkeys, Morpho butterflies, birds and maybe a few other curious mammals who’ll want to steal some food from you at some point. Manuel Antonio is a small yet super bio-diverse national treasure and on this tour, you’ll be able to learn about the many species that live here as well as constantly ask yourself: “how on Earth did this guide see that bird?”

While in Manuel Antonio take advantage of the activities offered in the area (at your own expense) such as ocean & river kayaking, world class sport fishing, horseback riding, canopy tours, sunset sailing, Isla Damas Estuary Tour, Rain Maker Reserve, white water rafting or simply relaxing on the beautiful beaches or at your hotel.
