San Salvador the capital of El Salvador with a very interesting historic center with the church el Rosario of modern design, the national palace, national theater, and the Metropolitan Cathedral, where the remains of Monsignor Romero rest. Monsignor Oscar Romero, “the voice of the poor and persecuted”, was a crucial figure in the struggles that led to civil war in El Salvador in the 1980s. Worth visit to the Anthropology Museum David J. Guzman with most archeological finds displayed and gives a good idea of El Salvador’s history. Nearby visits are the volcano Boquerón and park Los Planes.
