You will be met at the airport and transferred you to your hotel in Antigua.

Day 2 – Antigua Walking Tour
Day 2 – Antigua Walking Tour

Enjoy a guided walking tour around this beautiful colonial town including the main heritage buildings around Antigua such as The Cathedral, San Francisco and La Merced. After lunch you will be transfered to a coffee plantation which has been in operation 130 years and where you will learn the history, cultivation and processing of coffee at the farm.

Day 3 – Iximche & Transfer to Lake Atitlan
Day 3 – Iximche & Transfer to Lake Atitlan

You will be transfer to Lake Atitlan with a visit on the way to Iximche, , a Pre Columbian Mayan site in the Western Highlands of Guatemala. The site was founded by the Kaqchikel Maya in 1470 after a prolonged conflict with the Kiche. It was the capital of the Late Pre-classic Kaqchikel kingdom from 1470 until its abandonment in 1524 with the Spaniards arrival.

Today, your guide will take you on a 45 minute kayaking trip along delightful peninsulas admiring the shore's beautiful gardens. After lunch, you will visit Santiago Atitlan, home to Maximon, a pagan saint who drinks moonshine and smoke cigars. Maximon is visited every day by locals, healers and tourists asking for favors. After the tour, the boat will take you back to Panajachel where you will take a private transfer to Antigua Guatemala.
